RV Winterization: Essential Heating System Checklist

Winterizing your RV is crucial if you want it to be ready for next spring. Don’t forget your parking heater system!

Before You Store Your RV

1. Run the Heater

Run your parking heater for at least 15 minutes before storing. This burns off any moisture in the system.

2. Check or Replace the Fuel Filter

A clogged filter can cause starting problems next season.

3. Add Fuel Stabilizer

Use fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation over winter.

4. Disconnect Battery or Use Maintainer

A battery tender keeps your battery healthy over winter.

5. Inspect All Connections

Check electrical connectors for corrosion or damage.
