Glow Plug Selection by Heater Model & Voltage

Choosing the right glow plug (glow pin) for your parking heater comes down to two things: the brand & model and the voltage (12 V or 24 V). The tables below match each heater family to its compatible glow plug. If you are unsure, check the OE number stamped on your old plug and match it to the replacements below.

Glow plugs are brand- and model-specific — do not cross Webasto and Eberspacher parts. For fault codes, see our Webasto fault code guide and Airtronic fault code guide.

Webasto Glow Plugs

Webasto Air Top 2000 / 2000ST / 2000STC

Webasto Air Top 3500 / 5000

Webasto Thermo 90ST

For other Webasto heater types (Thermo Top C / E / Z) and to confirm the right part, see the related pump and burner pages below, or contact us with your model and OE number.

Eberspacher Glow Plugs

Eberspacher Airtronic D2 / D4 / D4S

For a 12 V Airtronic D2 / D4 / D4S glow plug, contact us with your model and the OE number on your old plug — we will confirm the right compatible part.

Eberspacher Hydronic D4WSC / D5WSC

How to Confirm the Right Glow Plug

  1. Identify the heater brand & model (stamped on the heater casing).
  2. Confirm the system voltage — 12 V or 24 V.
  3. Check the OE number on your old glow plug.
  4. Match it to the compatible replacement above; when in doubt, contact us with your model and voltage.

FAQ

Why is my heater not starting / giving a glow-plug error?

A weak or failed glow plug is a common no-start cause. On Eberspacher Airtronic, look for fault codes 020 / 021 / 022. Test the plug’s resistance and replace it if open or carboned.

Are glow plugs universal?

No. Each heater brand and voltage uses a specific glow plug. Always fit the correct part for your model.

Should I replace the glow plug with other parts?

During a full service, it is wise to also check the fuel filter and burner. See our Airtronic wear parts page for a complete service list.

All glow plugs are OEM-grade compatible replacements, stocked and shipped by IntelliGenParts. Confirm your heater model and voltage before ordering.
